Duty to Accommodate

Accommodation involves adapting the work tasks and environment to enable a person with permanent or temporary limitation(s) to make fair use of his or her skills and abilities in the workplace. It also includes providing equal access to employment opportunities.

This training will allow participants to become familiar with the concept of the duty to accommodate, its issues, the legal obligations in the context of personnel selection, the exceptions, and the support services available to businesses in this regard. Concrete cases will also be presented to encourage discussion and reflection.
