A retail selection solution
How we helped a company in the retail sector utilize psychometric tools to improve its selection processes and reduce turnover.
Chapman Boutique
Chapman’s Store is a business that specializes in the sale and repair of household products, such as vacuum cleaners, coffee machines and kitchen utensils.
The Issue
The retail company had a turnover problem due to the hiring of employees who did not have the right skill profile for the sales representative position. The company also wanted to build a standardized competency profile that would be used to select candidates and assess employees based on their job performance.
Our approach
- Step 1 : Assessment of owner needs and sales representative job requirements
- Step 2 : Competency Profile Creation and Personnel Selection Test Proposal
- Step 3 : Administration of the tools via the EPSI testing platform (from the candidate’s home)
- Step 4 : Interpretation of results for informed decision making
Spin-offs
Developing a unique and representative profile for the sales representative position.
Standardizing the selection criteria in the company’s recruitment.
Fair assessment of skills: learning ability and sales-related soft skills.
Information relevant to the structured interview, reference check and onboarding of the new employee.
Hiring a high performing employee after only one month of service, focused on customer service and sales.
