Our history


Starting out in a small residential basement in Gatineau, EPSI made its debut in 1995 following a project opportunity in psychometrics. André Durivage, a doctor in psychology and a businessman, and Julie Thibault, holding a master’s degree in industrial relations and a businesswoman, were able to quickly seize opportunities in psychometric evaluation and grow into a small business with roughly 20 employees in the early 2000s.

Recognized for its expertise in designing scientifically proven psychometric tests for staffing employees in various fields of employment, EPSI made the leap in 2004 from the paper-and-pencil method to setting up its own online testing platform. This was a key success factor that has allowed EPSI to not only improve its efficiency and speed of test administration and scoring, but also to expand and diversify its market nationally and international.

EPSI is thrilled to partner with SHL to provide our clients with cutting edge solutions, including virtual assessment centers, live coding interviews, 360 degree assessments, and even Realistic Job Previews. SHL brings powerful and transparent AI technology, data science, and objectivity to help companies attract, develop, and grow the workforce they need to succeed in the digital era. An industry leader in assessments and psychometric solutions, SHL has purchased all of the IBM Kenexa assessments. These tests will now be hosted on the EPSI testing platform.
